By accessing or using Ephemeral (“the Service”), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service (“Terms”). If you do not agree to these Terms, please do not use the Service.
2. Description of Service
Ephemeral provides a messaging platform with self-destructing messages. Messages are automatically deleted based on:
- Timed Mode: Messages are deleted after a set duration
- Exit-Based Mode: Messages are deleted when the last user leaves the room
3. User Accounts
3.1 Account Creation
To access certain features, you may need to create an account. You agree to:
- Provide accurate and complete information
- Maintain the security of your account credentials
- Notify us immediately of any unauthorized access
- Be responsible for all activities under your account
3.2 Guest Access
You may use the Service as a guest without creating an account. Guest sessions are temporary and subject to limitations.
4. Acceptable Use
You agree not to use the Service to:
- Violate any applicable laws or regulations
- Infringe upon the rights of others
- Transmit harmful, threatening, abusive, or harassing content
- Distribute spam, malware, or viruses
- Impersonate others or misrepresent your affiliation
- Interfere with or disrupt the Service
- Attempt to gain unauthorized access to our systems
- Use the Service for illegal activities
5. Subscriptions and Payments
5.1 Subscription Plans
We offer various subscription plans (Free, Pro, Business, Enterprise) with different features and limitations.
5.2 Billing
- Subscriptions are billed in advance on a monthly or annual basis
- Payment is processed through Stripe, our third-party payment processor
- All fees are non-refundable except as required by law
- You are responsible for all applicable taxes
5.3 Cancellation
You may cancel your subscription at any time. Cancellation will take effect at the end of your current billing period. You will retain access to paid features until that time.
6. Content and Message Deletion
Important: Messages sent through Ephemeral are automatically deleted according to your chosen mode. This deletion is permanent and irreversible.
- We cannot recover deleted messages
- You are responsible for backing up any important information
- We are not liable for any loss of data due to automatic deletion
7. Intellectual Property
7.1 Our Rights
The Service, including its design, code, and content, is owned by Ephemeral and protected by intellectual property laws. You may not copy, modify, distribute, or create derivative works without our permission.
7.2 Your Content
You retain ownership of the messages you send. By using the Service, you grant us a limited license to transmit and display your messages until they are automatically deleted.

9. Disclaimers and Limitation of Liability
9.1 Disclaimers
The service is provided “as is” and “as available” without warranties of any kind, either express or implied. We do not guarantee that the service will be uninterrupted, secure, or error-free.

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Ephemeral shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or any loss of profits or revenues, whether incurred directly or indirectly.
10. Indemnification
You agree to indemnify and hold harmless Ephemeral from any claims, damages, losses, or expenses arising from your use of the Service or violation of these Terms.
11. Termination
We reserve the right to suspend or terminate your access to the Service at any time, with or without notice, for any reason, including violation of these Terms.
12. Changes to Terms
We may modify these Terms at any time. We will notify you of material changes by posting the updated Terms on this page and updating the “Last Updated” date. Your continued use of the Service constitutes acceptance of the modified Terms.
